avoiding-confrontation

“Operational and Safety Impacts for Bicyclists Using Roadways with On-Street Parking” was performed by the Center for Transportation Research, The University of Texas for the Texas Department of Transportation. This slide show report can be found here: http://www.campotexas.org/programs_bicped.php

Many bicyclists rode in the Door Zone, some avoided it, and the one above avoided the road. Did the investigators pay this guy to ride on the sidewalk? Not surprisingly, no motorists seem to have operated in the Door Zone.

Critique of “Operational and Safety Impacts for Bicyclists Using Roadways with On-Street Parking” shows why this research is suspect and its conclusions unwarranted.

The link for “Operational and Safety Impacts for Bicyclists Using Roadways with On-Street Parking” shown in my critique seems to be correct, but it might not work. If not, one can get to this report via http://www.campotexas.org/programs_bicped.php
